Mat Points
• The Mules will compete in their first duals of the season as they will take on a trio of in-state opponents at the Show-Me-State Duals in Columbia.
• Central Missouri's three duals will be against Truman State, Missouri Valley College, and Missouri. The Mules will look to get off to strong start before getting back in tournament action to close out the fall semester
• The Mules already have one tournament under their belt as they competed at the Baker "Dan Harris" Open last weekend and walked away with nine placewinners. Kaleb Warner was the lone champion at 157 punds for UCM.
• UCM will hit the road to St. Charles, Mo. next Saturday, Nov. 18, to compete in the Lindenwoood Open.
Series History
Central Missouri vs. Truman State: 38-15-1
• The Mules will match up with TSU for the first time since the 2013-14 season.
Central Missouri vs. Missouri Valley: 4-12-0
• The Mules will take on the Vikings for the first time since the 2006-07 season.
Central Missouri vs. Missouri: 6-37-0
• The Mules and Tigers square up for the first time since the 2005-06 season.
Scouting the Competition
Truman State
• The Bulldogs went 8-16 in dual matches in 2016-17 and finished 1-5 against GLVC opponents.
• In the 207-18 GLVC Coaches' Preseason Poll, the Bulldogs were picked to finish seventh and totaled nine points.
• Juniors Sam Reeves and Caleb Osborn are the top returning wretslers for TSU this season. Reeves went 16-10 overall at 197 pounds a season ago with a 1-1 mark against GLVC opponents. Osborn, a 133 pounder, was 15-12 last season for the Bulldogs with 2-2 mark in GLVC action.
• TSU already has competed in one dual against Upper Iowa where they fell 51-3.
Missouri Valley College
• The Vikings enter the 2017-18 season ranked No. 2 in the country in the NAIA Men's Wrestling Coaches' Poll and have nine wrestlers individually ranked.
• The Vikings return All-American in senior Tobias Barnes. The senior is ranked No. 4 in NAIA entering the 2017-18 season.
• Another returner for this season is Donovan Fouchey who was an All-American for the Vikings at 197 pounds two seasons ago. He enters the year ranked No. 6 at 197 pounds.
• The Vikings first dual of the season will be at the Show-Me-State duals as they take on a pair of NCAA opponents in UCM and Mizzou.
No. 5 Mizzou
• The Tigers enter the 2017-18 seaos on ranked No. 5 in the country in the USA Today/NWCA Coaches' Poll. It is the third consecutive season the Tigers have opened the season ranked in the top 10 in the country.
• Mizzou returns four All-Americans, three of which that placed in the top-eight at the 2017 NCAA Wrestling Championships. Leading the way for the Tiger squad is redshirt senior Joey Lavallee. He reached the NCAA Finals at 157 pounds last year and will look to make another run this year.
• Other returning All-Americans for Mizzou are Jaydin Eierman (So./141 lbs.), Daniel Lewis (Jr. 174 lbs.), and Willie Miklus (Sr./197 lbs.). All will look to make major impacts as the Tigers try to make a run for the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championship.
