Opening Kick
• The Jennies will close out the regular season with another pair of in-state road games. On Friday, Oct. 27, the Jennies will look to claim the MIAA regular season title in St. Charles as they take on the Lindenwood Lions at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, Oct. 29, Central Missouri takes on Missouri Western in St. Joseph. Kickoff against the Griffons is set for 12 p.m.
• For the third week in a row the Jennies sit atop the national rankings in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll. At 16-0-0 overall and 9-0-0 in MIAA play, UCM is just one two undefeated teams without a tie left in Division II.
• The Jennies found themselves in a familiar place yet again as they grabbed two of the three MIAA Soccer Athlete of the Week honors.
Ana Dilkes was named the Goalkeeper of the Week for the seventh time in the last eight weeks, while
Jada Scott earned Offensive Player honors for the third time in the last four weeks after tallying seven points last weekend.
Series History
Lindenwood: UCM leads 12-2-0
The Jennies and Lions met earlier this season in a non-conference regional match. The Jennies scored a season-high seven goals as they dominated the Lions 7-0. UCM has defeated Lindenwood in the last 11 meetings.
Missouri Western: UCM leads 22-0-0
The Jennies still have yet to drop a match to Missouri Western in 22 matches. Earlier this season, UCM handed MWSU its first loss of the season by final score of 2-0. The Jennies have outscored the Griffons a combined 64-5 in the series.
Scouting the Competition
Lindenwood
• Entering the final week of the regular season, the Lindenwood Lions are 5-10-1 overall with a 2-6-1 mark in MIAA action. The Lions dropped two back-to-back matches last week and will look to end that against the top-ranked Jennies.
• The Lions currently sit tied for ninth in the MIAA standings with Emporia State at seven points. They are two points back for Northwest Missouri for the eighth and final spot in MIAA Tournament.
• Becky Roberts has led the way for the Lions up to this point in the season. She has totaled 16 points on five goals and six assists. She is only player in double figures for the Lions this season. Her six assists are tied for third in the MIAA with Madeline Cowell of Missouri Western and UCM's
Abby Rhodes.
• Defensively, the Lions have allowed 29 overall goals this season which is third most in the MIAA.
• In net, Mary McGilvray has started all 16 games for Lindenwood this season. She has posted four shutouts and allowed 29 goals this season. Her 104 saves is the most by any goalkeeper in the MIAA.
Missouri Western
• The Griffons continue to play well in the program's best season in school history. The Griffons are 14-2 overall and 8-1 MIAA play. They are receiving votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll for the second straight week.
• The Griffons' 8-1 conference mark has them sitting second in the standings with 24 points behind the Jennies who are 9-0 in MIAA action with 27 points.
• If both MWSU and UCM win on Friday, then Sunday's match will come down for a share of the MIAA Title. A win for the Griffons will give them a share of the MIAA regular season crown, whereas a Jennies win will give them the outright claim to the regular season title.
• Offensively, the point of attack for the Griffons runs through Cassidy Menke. Her 14 goals not only leads the team but are tops in the MIAA. Her 30 points (14g, 2a) are also the most in the MIAA this season. Helping out on offense is Sydney Cluck with a team-high eight assists and seven goals. Her eight assists are second most in the MIAA, while her 22 points are fourth most.
• Defensively, the Griffons have allowed just eight goals this season, which is second best behind UCM (2). In net, MWSU has used three different goalkeepers, but Sarah Lyle has seen the most action playing in 14 games, with 11 starts. Lyle is 12-2-0 in net this season.
The Best Defense is a Good Offense
• The Jennies 60 goals scored this season ranks them in the top five in Division II in total goals at third.
• The Jennies are averaging 3.75 goals per game this season which ranks third in Division II in scoring offense.
• UCM's 33 assists this season is tied for the most in the MIAA and is tied for 14th most in Division II.
• With 153 points total on 60 goals scored and 33 assists, the Jennies are fourth in Division II in total points.
• In 16 games, UCM has outscored opponents 60-2 with a 330-132 shots advantage.
Numbers Never Lie
• The Jennies have posted 14 shutouts in 16 of their wins this season and their two goals allowed is the least allowed in Division II this season.
• The Jennies all-around defense in shutouts (14), shutout percentage (.875), goals-against average (.125), and save percentage (.966) leads all of Division II this season.
• The Jennies are only team in Division II that has allowed just two goals this season. The Jennies two goals allowed is least allowed in the MIAA. The next closest team is Missouri Western with eight goals allowed.
One for the Record Books
• The 2017 squad is the first team in program history and MIAA history to post 12 consecutive shutouts.
• UCM was just the fourth team in NCAA Division II history to post 12 consecutive shutouts
• Dating back to the 2015 season, UCM has scored a goal in 49 straight games which is an MIAA record.

Ana Dilkes is the only goalkeeper in MIAA history to post 12 consecutive shutouts.
• The Jennies are 16-0-0 for just the second time in program history. The last team to start the season 16-0-0 was the 2010 squad for UCM.
Road Warriors
• On the road, the Jennies are still just as good as at home. They are 8-0 in road games this season.
• The Jennies have posted shutouts in all eight of their road wins this season while outscoring their opponents a combined 29-0.
