WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Sept. 3, 2016)—The fifth ranked Central Missouri Jennies opened up their 2016 home schedule with a 3-0 shutout victory over No. 17 Augustana (S.D.) on Saturday afternoon at Jennies Field. The Jennies improve to 2-0 on the season, posting 3-0 shutout wins in both games.

Abby Rhodes got UCM on the board midway through the first half. Junior
Megan Woolley added to the Jennies lead just before halftime and sophomore
Jada Scott added the final goal in the second half.
In net, junior keeper
Ana Dilkes posted her second straight shutout win of the season stopping all five shots she faced. Dilkes now has 28 career shutout wins.
The Jennies applied pressure early, getting three shots on goal in the first five minutes of play. They broke through in the 24
th minute when Rhodes scored from the top of the box beating the keeper to the far left post.
Just before the end of the first half, Woolley pushed the Jennies lead to 2-0, after scoring her first goal of the season on a rebound. Her first shot was saved, but the ball bounced right back to her and she put it in the back of the net.
Scott also scored her first goal of the season scoring in the 69
th minute putting the Jennies up 3-0. She fired a shot right over the keeper's head.
The Jennies will now hit the road for their next three games starting next Wednesday Sept. 7 at Southwest Minnesota State. This will be the fourth matchup between the two schools, and their first meeting since 2013 when the Mustangs defeated the Jennies 3-1.
