MAGNOLIA, Ark. (Feb. 13, 2016) -- The Mules baseball team was held to two hits in the ballgame, a single in the first and an RBI single in the ninth, as they fell to Central Oklahoma 5-1 on Saturday afteroon. The Mules are now 1-5 on the season.
Bennett Oliver's RBI single with two outs in the ninth inning was the only run UCM would get against three Broncho (2-0) pitchers.
Central Oklahoma got on the board in the third inning on Hunter Schellhardt's RBI single. An unearned run in the fourth made it 2-0 in favor of the Bronchos and they tacked on three more runs on three hits and two Mule errors in the sixth to lead 5-0.
Carlos D'Armas (0-1) took the loss for Central Missouri after giving up two runs, one earned, on three hits in five innings. He walked two and struck out six.
Greg Hyde (1-0) earned the win for UCO after tossing six innings of one-hit ball.
The Mules are off until Feb. 26 when they travel to Fort Hays State for a three-game MIAA series.
