No. 4 Jennies Soccer hosts Lindenwood in MIAA Semifinals

The Week Ahead
• The Jennies began their MIAA Tournament title defense with a 4-0 win over Washburn. The Jennies will now host the Lindenwood Lions Wednesday Nov. 4. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.

• The Jennies had nine players earn All-MIAA honors and three player of the year awards. Jada Scott, Emily Eldridge, and Ana Dilkes were tabbed the Offensive Player, Defensive Player, and Goalkeeper of the Year, respectively. Scott, Eldridge, Dilkes, Kayla Hamner, Taylor Thompson, and Megan Woolley were First Team All-MIAA, Hannah Pyle was Second Team All-MIAA, Baylie Edwards was Third Team All-MIAA, and Allysa Gann was Honorable Mention All-MIAA.

• If the Jennies win, they will face the winner of Fort Hays State vs Central Oklahoma in the MIAA Tournament Championship on Sunday at 1 p.m.



Series History
Lindenwood: UCM leads 10-2-0
UCM and Lindenwood will meet for the third time this season with a berth to MIAA Tournament Championship on the line. The Jennies won both games from earlier this season. The Jennies downed the Lions on the road and at home with scores of 1-0 and 2-0, respectively. For Lindenwood, their last win against Central Missouri came in 1997, 2-1, in St. Charles.

Scouting the Competition
Lindenwood    
• The Lions entered the MIAA Tournament as the No. 5 seed after finishing 6-5 in the MIAA. They are 10-7-1 overall entering the weekend

• The Lions went on the road to No. 4 seed Northeastern State. With 45 seconds left in the match, senior Kat Roe scored to give the Lions the 1-0 win over the RiverHawks.

• Offensively, the Lions finished the regular season fifth in the MIAA in average goals per game with 1.647. Entering their match with the Jennies they have scored 29 goals and added 27 assists.

• Defensively, the Lions are fifth in the MIAA in goals against average with 1.276.

Fort Hays State    
• The Tigers enter the MIAA Tournament as the No. 2 seed after finishing 10-1 in the MIAA, and sharing the regular season title with the Jennies. They are 14-3-2 overall enetering the weekend.

• The Tigers tied their MIAA Quarterfinal match with Missouri Western 0-0. They advanced to the semifinals after defeating the Griffons 5-3 in PK's

• Offensively, the Tigers enter the weekend tied for second in the MIAA in average goals per game with 1.947. Entering their match with the Bronchos they have scored 37 goals and added 32 assists.

• Defensively, the Tigers are second in goals against average with a .350.

Central Oklahoma    
• The Bronchos enter the MIAA Tournament as the No. 3 seed after finishing 8-3 in the MIAA. They are 13-5-1 overall entering the weekend.

• The Bronchos won their MIAA Quarterfinal match over Emporia State 3-0 at home. They will face Fort Hays State.

• Offensively, the Bronchos enter the weekend tied for second in the MIAA in average goals per game with 1.947. Entering their match with the Tigers they have scored 37 goals and added 24 assists.

• Defensively, the Tigers are fifth in goals against average with a .926.

Numbers Never Lie
• The Jennies finished the regular season 16-1 overall. It is just the third time in UCM history they finished the regular season with only one loss.

• The Jennies won their seventh straight and ninth overall MIAA regular season title. Their nine titles is tied for the most in MIAA history.

• The Jennies allowed just three goals in the regular season which is the least amount in program history.

• The Jennies have been ranked in the top-five in all nine regular season and the preseason NSCAA polls in 2016.

• The Jennies 15 shutouts this season is the most in program history.

The Best Offense is a Good Defense
• In Division-II, Ana Dilkes still ranks first in save percentage at .973 and goals against average at .117.

• In Division-II, the Jennies are still first in shutout percentage, goals against average, and total goals allowed at .889, .167, and three, respectively.

• The Jennies are first in NCAA-II in shutouts with 16.

• In the MIAA, Jada Scott is first in total goals and points with 14 and 34, respectively. She is tied for first in assists with six.

• Offensively, the Jennies are first in the MIAA in total points, goals, and assists in assists with 130, 48, and 31 respectively. They rank first in scoring average with  2.667 goals per game.

There's No Place Like Home
• The Jennies are 9-0 at home this season entering the weekend, which tied for the second best record is program history.

• The Jennies have posted eight shutouts at home which is tied for the most in program history

• The Jennies allowed just one goal at home in the regular season which is the least amount in program history.

• The Jennies outscored their opponents 29-1 at home this season.
