No. 4 Jennies Soccer at home for final two matches of the regular season

The Week Ahead
• The Jennies enter the final week of the regular season 14-1 overall and 8-1 in the MIAA. The Jennies are undefeated at home this season with a record of 6-0 entering the weekend.

• Jennies Soccer grabbed one MIAA Soccer Athlete of the Week honor this week. Junior Megan Wolley was tabbed the offensive player of the week for the first time in her career after tallying eight points on three goals and two assists last week. Woolley took seven total shots and five shots on goals and finished with a shot on goal percentage of .714 and had one game winner for Central Missouri.

• The Jennies will host Lindenwood Friday Oct. 28 and Missouri Western Sunday Oct. 30 for their final two matches of the regular season. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.

Series History
Lindenwood: UCM leads 9-2-0
UCM and Lindenwood already met once earlier this season with the Jennies winning the match 1-0 at Lindenwood. In this short series the Lions have only won two matches and have been outscored 29-7 overall.



Missouri Western: UCM leads 20-0-0
Entering the 2016 season the Jennies were 19-0 all-time against the Griffons. UCM made it 20-0 after they dispatched MWSU 1-0 on the road earlier this season. The Jennies have outscored the Griffons 60-4 in the series.



Scouting the Competition
Lindenwood    
• The Lions are 8-6-1 this season overall with a conference record of 5-4. The Lions enter the weekend in a four-way tie for the No. 5 seed in the MIAA Tournament with Missouri Western, Washburn, and Emporia State.

• The Lions have played exceptionally tough this season with five of their six losses coming by just one goal. Their only tie came against Northwest Missouri State back in late September.

• The Lions are looking to get back into the MIAA Tournament after missing last year's tournament by two spots.

• The Lions have had two athletes earn MIAA Players of the Week, both of which have come on offense. They were juniors Kat Roe and Alyssa Houck, who were selected in Week 4 and 5, respectively

•  Offensively, the Lions are fifth in the MIAA in total goals scored and points at 25 and 73, respectively. They are fourth in total assists with 23.

• In the first regional polls of the season, Lindenwood checked in at No. 6. 

Missouri Western
• The Griffons are 10-6 overall and 5-4 in the MIAA entering Week 9 of the season. The Griffons enter the weekend in a four-way tie for the No. 5 seed in the MIAA Tournament with Lindenwood, Washburn, and Emporia State.

• The Griffons have played in a number of close matches this season winning all 10 of their matches by just one goal. Four of their six losses have been by just one goal as well.

• The Griffons 10 wins this season is the most in program history. Their previous high was nine wins, which they did twice in 2014 and 2015.

• The Griffons are looking to make the MIAA Tournament for the third year in a row. Last season they entered as the No. 6 seed and fell on the road to Northeastern State 1-0.

• Offensively, the Griffons are led by sophomore Cassidy Menke in total goals and points with seven and 15, respectievly. Menke's goal total also ranks her tied for third in the MIAA.

• The Griffons are still looking for their first win in program history against the Jennies. 

Numbers Never Lie
• The Jennies have started 14-1 for the second time in program history.

• Through the first 15 matches, the Jennies have allowed just two goals, which is the least amount in program history.

• The Jennies have been ranked in the top-five in all seven regular season and the preseason NSCAA polls in 2016.

• UCM has yet to allow a goal in their 14 wins this season and in their current five match win streak they've outscored their opponents a combined 19-0.

The Best Offense is a Good Defense
• In Division-II, Ana Dilkes still ranks first in save percentage at .966 and goals against average at .140.

• In Division-II, the Jennies are still first in shutout percentage, goals against average, and total goals allowed at .933, .133, and two, respectively.

• The Jennies are tied for first in Division-II in shutouts with 14.

• In the MIAA, Jada Scott sits second in points at 23, is tied for second in goals with nine, and tied for fourth in assists with five.

• Offensively, the Jennies are tied for first in the MIAA in total points, first in goals, and second in assists with 98, 36, and 26 respectively. They rank first in scoring average with  2.400 goals per game.
