The Mules forfeited the first weight off the night. Collins cut the Tigers lead in half with a 11-7 decision against Anthony Calderon (133). Noah Killip picked up another six for the Tigers when the Mules forfeited the 141-pound bout. Cagnina had a second period technical fall to follow against Jacob Kay, to bring the Mules within four points of Fort Hays State. Bradley Little then beat
Evan Young by 10-1 major decision, before
Josh Thomson had a 4-3 decision against Kregg Clarke, for the final Mule points of the dual.
After the match, Cagnina improves to 16-1 overall this season, and remains unbeaten in duals. He leads the team in points (43), and has the most technical falls this season (3). Collins is now 13-8, with a 5-4 dual record. He has 13 decision wins this year.
Josh Thomson leads the team in wins, with an overall record of 20-9. He is second in team points scored (37).
Central Missouri will compete in their final dual of the season in Wichita, Kan. against fellow MIAA squad, Newman. The Mules will then host the MIAA Championships on Sunday, Feb. 15.
