WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The Jennies enter week six ranked No. 10 in the latest NSCAA poll, down two spots from their previous No. 8 ranking after shutting out Central Oklahoma, then losing to Northeastern State.

The Jens gear up for a pair of teams who are at opposite ends of the defensive spectrum. First, Central Missouri will play host to a Missouri Western team that has given up only nine goals all season. Then the Jennies will host Northwest Missouri, who has given up 31 goals this season. This will be the second matchup with Northwest Missouri this season. 



Series History
Missouri Western: UCM leads 17-0-0
UCM has won every game in the series so far, and have shutout the Griffons in 13 of those games. UCM has outscored Missouri Western 55-4 in the series. In the eight games played in Warrensburg, UCM has held MWSU to one goal.

Northwest Missouri: UCM leads 23-3-4
UCM has won the last 12 meetings between the two programs, and Northwest Missouri has not won a game in the series since 2008. UCM has shutout Northwest Missouri in eight of the last 10 games between the two. UCM has outscored NWMSU 41-2 in the last 10 games.

Scouting the Competition
Missouri Western:
• Missouri Western is 2-3-1 on the road this year, and 1-1 in non-conference games with a win over 
Minnesota-Crookston and a loss to Bemidji State.
• The Griffons are led by sophomore midfielder Bridget Blessie, who leads the team in goals with four, and is tied for the team lead in points with sophomore midfielder Sydney Cluck with eight.
• Sophomore midfielder Layne Shepherd leads the team in assists with three.
• Missouri Western is tied for second in the MIAA in goals allowed with nine all season. They are 32nd in Division II in goals against average with a 0.66 average.
• Missouri Western has been outscored 4-3 when playing on the road this season.
• The Griffons are seventh in the MIAA in goals scored with 16, and  ranks last in the MIAA in corner kicks taken with 41.
                                  
Northwest Missouri:
• The Bearcats are 1-4-3 on the road this season, and 0-3-1 in MIAA road games wih losses to Northeastern State, Central Oklahoma and Emporia State. They recorded a tie with Washburn.
• Senior forward Anna Holden and senior defender Katelynn Lindsey lead the team in goals with three, and points with seven.
• Northwest Missouri has started two different goalkeepers this season. Senior, defender turned goalkeeper, Elizabeth Lee has started the last four games for the Bearcats in goal. She has a 1-2-1 record with 26 saves, and a .756 save percentage. Ashley Malloy has seen the majority of action in goal for the Bearcats. She is 2-5-2 with 67 saves and a .744 save percentage. 
• The Bearcats have been outscored 16-6 when playing on the road this year.
• Northwest Missouri is tied with Lindenwood and Washburn for last in the MIAA in goals scored with 12.
• The Bearcats are allowing a league high 2.38 goals per game this season.

Goals, Goals and More Goals
• UCM is 10th in total goals scored in NCAA Division II, and first in the MIAA with 47.
• The Jennies are ninth in NCAA Division II in goals scored per game with a 3.36 average.
Julie Ireland is tied for 31st in goals with 10 in NCAA Division II.
• The Jens have scored 47 goals this season. The record for most goals scored in a season is 63, which was set during the 2011 season, and matched in the 2014 season. 

Defense Wins Championships
• Dilkes' .909 save percentage is tops in the MIAA, and fifth-best in NCAA Division II.  Her 0.37 goals against average is also tops in the MIAA and ranks eighth in NCAA Division II.
• The Jens rank first in the MIAA in goals against average, and 10th in NCAA Division II with 0.43 goals allowed per game.
• The Jennies are 10th in NCAA Division II in shutout percentage with a .643 percentage. UCM has recorded shutouts in nine of their 14 games this year.
