MINOT, ND -- The 21st-ranked Jennies soccer team kept their unbeaten season intact, shutting out host Minot State, 2-0 at Herb Parker Stadium Saturday afternoon.

With the victory, the Jennies improve to 3-0-1 in 2014. UCM also shut out its opponent for the third time in the first four matches this season.

Freshman Baylie Edwards came up with the game-winning goal in the 10th minute, her first score as a Jennie, providing a 1-0 lead for Central Missouri.

The Jennies maintained that lead heading into the half, holding a 7-3 edge in shot attempts.

In the 77th minute of play, sophomore Hannah Pyle fed a cross from the right side to senior Erin Robinson, who finished the play past the Minot State goalkeeper, stretching UCM's lead to 2-0. The goal was the first for Robinson this season and the fourth assist for Pyle, a team high.

Jennies freshman goalkeeper Ana Dilkes saved the only shot that was fired at her on the afternoon, and improved her record to 3-0-1 this season. The Central Missouri defense limited the Beavers to just five shot attempts, including two in the second half.

UCM maintains an unbeaten record through the first four games of the season for the second time in three years (started 3-0-1 in 2012).

The Jennies will pay Lindenwood a visit next Friday, Sept. 19 to open MIAA play. First-kick is scheduled for 7 p.m. in St. Charles.
