MARYVILLE, Mo. -- For the fifth consecutive season, and sixth time in the past seven years, the No. 9 Jennies soccer team earned at least a share of the MIAA regular season title, topping Northwest Missouri on the road, 3-1. It is the second-straight season the Jennies defeated the Bearcats to claim the conference crown.

Sophomore forward Abby Rhodes netted her third goal of the season in the 20th minute to break the scoreless tie, scoring on an assist from Mikala Modiri

UCM's second score came in the 31st minute when Julie Ireland cleaned up a rebound and scored off a header that was saved by the Bearcats goalkeeper. The goal was Ireland's seventh this season, tied for the team lead.

Four minutes into the second half, Ireland found freshman Megan Woolley from the corner of the field, who finished the play on a header from six yards out, solidfying UCM's lead at 3-0. The goal was Woolley's first this season.

The Bearcats came back with a score to make it 3-1 in the 63rd minute when Jessica Spradley found Sara Worsfold in the middle of the field from about eight yards out.

Jennies freshman goalkeeper Ana Dilkes remained unbeaten, improving her record to 15-0-1 on the season. She saved nine shots, raising her season total to 64, the most for a Jennies goalkeeper since 2008 (Lauren Bamvakais - 68).

The Jennies will go for the outright MIAA regular season title at home against Lindenwood on Friday, October 31 at 7 p.m.
