Washburn: The Jennies lead the all-time series with the Ichabods 13-5-1. The two teams last played on September 20, 2012 in Warrensburg with the Jennies coming out victorious, 3-1.
Emporia State: Central Missouri leads the all-time series 18-3-1. Last season, the Jennies shut out the Hornets, 2-0 in Warrensburg.
The Coaches...
Tim Collins: 11th-year head coach Tim Collins has led the Washburn soccer program to two NCAA regional tournament appearances in the last five seasons and an MIAA regular season title in the program's fourth season.
Collins was named the first head coach in Ichabods history on Dec. 23, 2002 bringing experience and winning traditions from the high school ranks to the Washburn campus.
Entering his eleventh season on the Washbun sideline, Collins has recorded a 81-88-29 (.492) record while leading Washburn to two NCAA second round tournament appearances in the last five years.
In 2008, Washburn won a school-record-tying 15 matches during the 2008 season and another NCAA second round tournament appearance as he led the team to a 15-7-2 record including four wins over nationally-ranked teams.
In 2006, Collins led the Washburn team to the MIAA championship and the NCAA Tournament with a 15-1-6 record picking up MIAA Coach of the Year honors for the second straight season.
Collins is a 1991 graduate Ottawa University where he was a four-year letterwinner for the Braves' soccer team. He was the team's MVP and captain his junior and senior seasons while garnering first team all-conference and all-district accolades.
Collins and his wife, Tina, have two boys Nico and CJ.
Bryan Sailer: Bryan Sailer begins his second season as the Hornets head coach. In 2011 he led the team to a 3-10-5 record and their first ever appearance in the MIAA Tournament.
Sailer has been a winner everywhere he has coached with a combined collegiate and high school record of 244-68-12 at three schools, including a 59-23-2 record in four years at Barton CC in Great Bend, Kan. He was tabbed the Jayhawk Conference Coach of the Year in 2008 after guiding Barton to an 18-4 record in his second season at the helm. The 18 wins are a school record for a season and the four best single season win totals have all come under his watch.
During his four years the Cougars have broke records for the most goals in a game and season as well as nearly every individual mark. Shala Giardini's 59 goals in 2009 is a Region VI record for a season and a Top 5 NJCAA all-time mark.
Sailer played collegiately at Monroe Community College and was an all-conference pick at State University of New York-Brockport after graduating from Monroe.
Sailer and his wife Tasha have a three year old son Brayden, and a two month old daughter Addison.
Scouting the week's competition...
Washburn: The Washburn Ichabods posted a 1-1 record last week, falling to Emporia State, 2-0 and defeating Newman University, 4-0.
In the team's win against Newman, senior midfielder Danielle Curtis led the team with two goals, giving her three for the season.
Defensively, junior goalkeeper Tori Fuglister recorded her third win to improve to 3-4-0. Newman managed just four shots in that contest.
Emporia State: The Hornets defeated Washburn, 2-0 to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat at the hands of Metropolitan State University of Denver back on Sept. 15.
Freshmen Kaitlyn Eden and McKenize Koch each scored their first goals in 2013 in the victory over Washburn. Senior forward Tommi Bouknight leads Emporia State with two goals for a total of four points.
Defensively freshman goalkeeper Yadira Rivera leads the Hornets with 29 saves in 470 minutes of action. She has allowed four goals in five starts, good for a record of 3-2-0.
Five-time MIAA Coach of the Year,
Lewis Theobald is in his seventh season as head coach at Central Missouri with a stunning 99-19-14 record, becoming the all-time winningest coach in Jennies soccer history during the 2012 season.
He recorded more wins in his first three seasons than any other coach in school history. He was the first assistant at Division I Indiana State, where he was the lead recruiter before coming to UCM.
He is a 1999 graduate of the University of Kansas.
Moran named MIAA Off. Player of the Week...

Hannah Moran was named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week for her performance against Nebraska-Kearney last Saturday. Moran's accollade is the first Player of the Week honor for a Jennies player this season. Through six games, Moran has six goals (tied for MIAA lead) and 12 points to lead all Jennies.
A First for 2013...
Moran recorded the team's first hat trick of the 2013 season on Saturday night against Nebraska-Kearney. All three of the goals were unassisted, with one coming via penalty kick. It was the first hat trick for a Jenny since Katie O'Keefe back on October 23, 2010 at Missouri Southern State.

The Jennies swept their two-week homestand and currently have the second-longest unbeaten streak in the MIAA behind Southwest Baptist, who has not lost in five consecutive contests (4-0-1).

After getting on the scoreboard six times last week, the Jennies are now tied for third in the conference with 13 goals (2.17 per game) on the season and are fourth with 33 points. The Jennies' six goals in conference competition are the most among MIAA schools.

Through six games, the Jennies have committed just 30 fouls, the lowest total among all MIAA schools (5.0 per game).
