No. 24 ranked Jennies improve to 2-0 at home, blank Minot St., 2-0

WARRENSBURG, Mo. - The No. 24 ranked Jennies (2-1-1) won their second consecutive home match, a 2-0 win over Minot State (0-1-2) at Jennies Field on Saturday. 

Central Missouri's first score came at 29:37 in the first half when a corner kick from Nicole Pond found Hannah Moran, who delivered the header past the Minot State goalkeeper. 

Leading 1-0 following halftime, the Jennies put the game out of reach at 65:54 when Kayla Hamner tapped in a shot past the goalkeeper on Pond's second assist of the game. 

Sophomore goalkeeper Morgan Hartzler improved to 2-1-1 on the season after logging 73:55 minutes and recording two saves, giving way to fellow goalkeeper Jessica Grindstaff for the remaining 16:05.

The Jennies outshot the Beavers 12-2 and held a 5-2 edge on shots-on-goal.

Central Missouri will host Fort Hays State on Thursday, September 19, first kick at 7 p.m.
