The week ahead...
The No. 12 ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies soccer team closed out the 2013 regular season with a pair of road wins at Northwest Missouri (5-0) and Lindenwood (4-0).
Senior midfielder Becky Lackey was named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week. She scored two goals (game-winner) and recorded an assist in the Jennies' 5-0 win at Northwest Missouri.
With the two shutouts last week, the Jennies own 10 this season and closed the final four games without allowing a goal.
Senior midfielder Carly Stanley recorded her 10th assist in the November 1 win at Northwest Missouri, tying the Jennies' single-season record.
Senior Becky Lackey collected five points last week (two goals, assist) in the two victories. She finished regular season play leading the Jennies in points with 24 and second in goals with nine.
Under head coach Lewis Theobald, the Jennies are 3-2-1 in MIAA Tournament play.

Series History...
Central Oklahoma: UCM leads the all-time series, 3-2-2. The two teams last played on October 18, 2013 in Edmond, the Jennies coming out on top, 3-0.

The Coaches...
Mike Cook: Mike Cook has been with the Central Oklahoma soccer program since its inception and has built the Bronchos into a perennial NCAA Division II power.
Cook came to UCO when the school started the program in 1998 and has guided the Bronchos to an amazing 230-75-19 record over the past 15 years. He has a 20-year women's record of 318-97-20, ranking among the Division II coaching leaders in all-time wins and winning percentage (.754).
Mike has led UCO to nine national playoff appearances, with the Bronchos winning six regular-season titles and five tournament crowns during their tenure in the Lone Star Conference. Cook earned LSC Coach of the Year accolades six times and has been named Midwest Regional Coach of the Year twice.

Head Coach Lewis Theobald
Five-time MIAA Coach of the Year, Lewis Theobald is in his seventh season as head coach at Central Missouri with a stunning 109-20-15 record, becoming the all-time winningest coach in Jennies soccer history during the 2012 season. He earned his 100th victory as head coach of the UCM program on Friday, September 27 at Washburn.
He recorded more wins in his first three seasons than any other coach in school history. He was the first assistant at Division I Indiana State, where he was the lead recruiter before coming to UCM.
He is a 1999 graduate of the University of Kansas.

Scouting the week's competition...

Central Oklahoma: The Bronchos went 1-0-1 in the final week of the regular season in Edmond, defeating Washburn, 3-0 and battling Emporia State to a 0-0 draw in double-overtime.
Offensively, Caitlin Bond, Sarah Purcell and Kate Foran all had goals in the 3-0 win against Washburn last Friday. Purcell leads the team with six goals and 13 points, to go along with an assist. During the regular season, the Bronchos outscored opponents 12-6 in the opening half.
Defensively, the Bronchos have allowed just 19 goals in 18 games, and have shut out their opponents nine times.

Becky Lackey Earns Offensive POW Honors...
Senior midfielder Becky Lackey was named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week. She collected five points, scoring two goals (game-winner) and recording an assist in the Jennies' 5-0 win at Northwest Missouri. She finished the regular season with 24 points, a team best.

Finishing the Regular Season Strong...
The Jennies closed regular season play on a seven-game win streak - the longest of the season.

Stanley Enters Jennies Record Books...
Senior midfielder Carly Stanley recorded her 10th assist of the season in last week's 5-0 win at Northwest Missouri. The 10 assists tied the Jennies' single-season record (Teleshia Joseph - 2002, Kayla Shain- 2011). She holds the Jennies record for most career assists with 27 and is third on the all-time MIAA list for most assists in a career.

Becky Lackey's Multiple Goal Games...
Senior Becky Lackey recorded two goals in last week's win over Northwest Missour. Lackey finished the regular season with four multi-goal games this season - the most among Jennies players.

Shutting down the opponents...
Central Missouri's defensive unit held its opponents to just one goal in its last six contests, and did not allow a goal in the final four games. They have also limited opposing offenses to single-digit shots (8, 8, 9, 8, 12 and 5) in the past six games, respectively.

Freshman Impact...
Freshman forward Hannah Pyle ended the 2013 regular season tied for the team lead in goals with 10 and finished third in total points (20).

Grindstaff's Play...
Senior goalkeeper Jessica Grindstaff recorded an 8-1-0 record with a team-leading 28 saves and five goals allowed in nine starts. In 2012, she was 6-1-2 with 24 saves and six goals allowed in nine starts.

No Shortage of Early Opportunities...
This season, the Jennies offense has outshot its opponents 147-66 in the first half - an average of 8.16 shots per opening half for UCM versus a 3.66 average for opponents.

Jennies Soccer (By the numbers)...
When matched up against Oklahoma schools, UCM is 11-3-3 all-time. The Jennies are 4-1-2 when playing an Oklahoma school in Warrensburg.
