The Bearcats won a program-record 11 games in 2009 and placed fifth in the MIAA standings, the team's best finish since 2001. That performance followed a 10-win season in 2008 and a nine-win mark in 2006. The three best records in the program's 11-year history have come in the last five seasons.
Laurie Laminski: Laurie Kaminski is in her ninth season as the head coach of the Lindenwood Lady Lions women's soccer program. Entering the 2013 season, she has compiled a record of 77-57-14 and the program has advanced to postseason play three times.
Kaminski and Lindenwood played their first full NCAA Division II and MIAA schedule in 2012. The Lady Lions went 4-1-0 in non-conference play and had a winning record at Hunter Stadium. Bailey Cody earned honorable mention all-MIAA honors. Two women's soccer players received the MIAA Academic Excellence Award, one was a MIAA Scholar-Athlete, and 19 were on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
Before coming to Lindenwood, Kaminski played four years of college soccer at Saint Louis University. Kaminski, a native of St. Louis and a Mehlville High School grad, is a current member of the Scrubs Soccer Club. She earned a bachelor's degree in Communications with a minor in Marketing from Saint Louis in 2003. In 2004, she earned a master's degree in Sport Management from Lindenwood.
Lewis Theobald: Five-time MIAA Coach of the Year,
Lewis Theobald is in his seventh season as head coach at Central Missouri with a stunning 107-20-15 record, becoming the all-time winningest coach in Jennies soccer history during the 2012 season. He earned his 100th victory as head coach of the UCM program on Friday, September 27 at Washburn.
He recorded more wins in his first three seasons than any other coach in school history. He was the first assistant at Division I Indiana State, where he was the lead recruiter before coming to UCM.
He is a 1999 graduate of the University of Kansas.
Scouting the week's competition...
Northwest Missouri: The Bearcats played two games last week, both on the road, losing to Southwest Baptist, 2-0 and Central Missouri, 5-0.
Offensively, senior midfielder Anna Calgaard leads Northwest Missouri with five goals to go along with two assists. Two of sophomore forward Anna Holden's three goals have proven to be game-winners. Senior defender Jordan Albright and sophomore defender Katelynn Lindsey each have three assists.
Defensively, senior goalkeeper Kelsey Adams (4-9-1) leads the team with 14 starts, logging 1282:42 minutes and recording 84 saves. She has surrendered 23 goals for a 1.61 goals against average.
Lindenwood: The Lions dropped both of their matches last week, falling to Fort Hays State, 3-1 as well as at Nebraska-Kearney, 1-0 in double-overtime.
Offensively, freshman midfielder Kat Roe leads Lindenwood with 14 points (six goals, two assists) on 52 shot attempts, 26 on-goal - both team highs.
Defensively, senior goalkeeper Bailey Tracy (8-6-1) leads the team with 16 starts, logging 1514:49 minutes and recording 95 saves. She has surrendered 14 goals for a 0.83 goals against average. She has seven shutouts this season.
Grindstaff Earns MIAA Honors...
Senior goalkeeper
Jessica Grindstaff earned MIAA Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the second consecutive week. She collected two wins, shutting out both of UCM's opponents. She owns five shutouts and leads the team with 22 saves for a 0.68 Goals Against Average.
Stanley Enters Jennies Record Books...
Senior midfielder
Carly Stanley recorded two assists in last Saturday night's 5-0 win over Northwest Missouri, becoming the program's all-time assists leader with 26.
Another Record Within Reach...
Stanley has nine assists this season, one shy of trying the Jennies' single-season record of 10 (
Kayla Shain in 2011 and Teleshia Joseph in 2002).

Becky Lackey scored two goals in the Jennies' 5-0 win against Northwest Missouri on October 26, giving her three multi-goal games this season - the most among Jennies players.
Shutting down the opponents...
Central Missouri's defensive unit has held its opponents to just one goal in its last four contests. They have also limited opposing offenses to 8, 8, 9 and 8 shots in the past four games, respectively.

Senior goalkeeper
Jessica Grindstaff has a 6-1-0 record with a team-leading 22 saves and five goals allowed in seven starts. In 2012, she was 6-1-2 with 24 saves and six goals allowed in nine starts.
No Shortage of Early Opportunities...
This season, the Jennies offense has outshot its opponents 132-59 in the first half - an average of 8.25 shots per opening half for UCM versus a 3.68 average for opponents.
Playing Clean...
Through 16 games, the Jennies have committed just 85 fouls, the lowest total among all MIAA schools (5.31 per game).
