The week ahead...
     The No. 24 ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies soccer team is slated to play three games this week, two at home against Rockhurst (10/15), Northeastern St. (10/20) and on the road at Central Oklahoma (10/18).
     Central Missouri lost its only game last week against visiting Missouri Southern, 2-1. The loss snapped the Jennies' 48-game MIAA regular season unbeaten streak. The loss was the first at home this year and snapped an eight-game unbeaten streak for the Jennies dating back to September 12. 
     Carly Stanley scored the only goal for the Jennies, her third of the season. 

Series History...
Rockhurst: This game marks the first meeting between the two schools.
Central Oklahoma: The series is tied at 2-2-2. The two teams last played on October 11, 2012 in Warrensburg, ending the game in a 0-0 tie in double overtime.
Northeastern State: The Jennies lead the all-time series with the RiverHawks 4-1-1. The two teams last played on November 2, 2012 in the second round of the MIAA Tournament in Warrensburg. The Jennies won, 1-0, advancing to the MIAA title game. The Jennies won the 2012 regular season meeting in Tahlequah, 1-0.

The Coaches...
Greg Herdlick: Greg Herdlick has served as the head coach of the Rockhurst women's soccer program for the past 14 seasons. The Hawks have posted 12 winning seasons under Herdlick, who has an overall record of 143-93-19 and is the 39th winningest coach in NCAA Division II coming into this season. 
Herdlick guided the Hawks to 63 conference wins and eight GLVC Tournament appearances in their first eight seasons in the GLVC. 
Herdlick graduated from Rockhurst in 1993 with a degree in accounting. He was a four-year starter for the Rockhurst soccer team. 
Herdlick completed his master's degree in business administration in 1996 at Rockhurst. He is currently director of member services at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City.
Herdlick and his wife, Kelly, reside in Lee's Summit, Mo., with their son, Sam, and daughter, Madelyn.

Mike Cook: Mike Cook has been with the Central Oklahoma soccer program since its inception and has built the Bronchos into a perennial NCAA Division II power.
Cook came to UCO when the school started the program in 1998 and has guided the Bronchos to an amazing 230-75-19 record over the past 15 years.  He has a 20-year women's record of 318-97-20, ranking among the Division II coaching leaders in all-time wins and winning percentage (.754).  
Cook has led UCO to nine national playoff appearances, with the Bronchos winning six regular-season titles and five tournament crowns during their tenure in the Lone Star Conference.  
Mike, a native of Toronto, Canada, received both his bachelor's and master's degrees from SNU.  Cook is married (Sandy) and has two children (Cody and Taylor).

Chase Wooten: Chase Wooten is currently in his fourth season as head coach of the Northeastern State women's soccer program. He was named to the position in January 2010 and is just the third person to serve in this capacity since the sport was added in 1996. He enters the 2013 campaign with a career record of 31-15-9.
Wooten has taken the program to new heights since arriving at NSU. In 2012, he tied the school record for most wins in a single season (13) and also broke the school record for best winning percentage (.711). He has led NSU to three-straight winning seasons, which is also a first in school history. The 2011 club set the school record for fewest losses in a single season (4).
Wooten is a graduate of Taylor High School in Katy, Texas, where he was captain and selected MVP of the team. 
Wooten and his wife, Amber, have a daughter, Catherine.

Lewis Theobald: Five-time MIAA Coach of the Year, Lewis Theobald is in his seventh season as head coach at Central Missouri with a stunning 102-20-15 record, becoming the all-time winningest coach in Jennies soccer history during the 2012 season. He earned his 100th victory as head coach of the UCM program on Friday, September 27 at Washburn. 
     He recorded more wins in his first three seasons than any other coach in school history. He was the first assistant at Division I Indiana State, where he was the lead recruiter before coming to UCM. 
     He is a 1999 graduate of the University of Kansas. 

Scouting the week's competition...

Rockhurst: Rockhurst won both of its matchups last week (2-1 against Maryville University, 1-0  against University of Missouri-St. Louis). 
    Offensively, The Hawks have five players with two goals apiece (Caroline Brandt, Taylor Skala, Kristin Wolff, Morgan Dahm, Brandi Van Booven). Kasey Lierz and Jamison Wipke each have three assists. 
    Defensively, goalkeeper Ali Wallner (7-2-2) has made 39 saves in 11 starts and allowed six goals (0.52 GAA). 

Central Oklahoma: The Bronchos split their two games last week against Fort Hays State (1-0 loss) and Nebraska-Kearney (2-0 win). 
    Offensively, Sarah Purcell leads the team with five goals for 11 points (one assist). Emily Hahn, Caitlin Bond and Quinn Tookey each have three assists.
    Defensively, goalkeepers Brandi Bartley (4-6-0) and Emily Thornbrugh (2-0-0) protect the UCO net. Bartley has 43 saves, allowing 12 goals (877:56), while Thornbrugh has made 14 saves, allowing zero goals (322:04). 

Northeastern State:  The RiverHawks did not allow a goal last week in two wins over Nebraska-Kearney and Fort Hays State.  
    Offensively, Jennifer Clark leads the team with nine goals and 20 points (two assists). Five of her nine goals have proven to be game-winners. 
    Defensively, goalkeeper Jordan Woodruff has started 12 games, allowing seven goals and saving 55 shots in 1104:14 of action. 

MIAA Streak Snapped...
     Central Missouri's 2-1 defeat to Missouri Southern on October 10 snapped a 48-game MIAA regular season unbeaten streak. 
Unbeaten Streak Comes to an End...
     The Jennies loss last Thursday night also ended the Jennies eight-game unbeaten streak, which began on September 12 against University of Mary. The home loss was also the first since Nov. 4, 2012 against Fort Hays State in double overtime. 

Leading the Pack in Points... 
     Through 11 games, the Jennies have recorded 87 points (7.91 per game), tops in the MIAA. Central Oklahoma trails UCM by 23 points (64 - 4.92 per game) having played 13 games so far this season. 

First in Goals... 
     Central Missouri has scored 34 goals in 11 games (3.09 per game). Their 34 goals and 3.09 average are both first in the MIAA. The Jens are the only team to average at least 2 goals per contest. 

Jennies Coming Out Strong in MIAA Play... 
     Through six conference games, the Jennies are first in shots (116), points (43) and goals (18). 

Becky Lackey Climbing the Rankings...
     Senior Becky Lackey has 13 points and five assists this season. Her 13 points are tied for second-most in the conference with Kate Jamison of SBU and Elizabeth Cudjoe of Northeastern State. Her five assists are tied for first in the MIAA with Karley Thomas of Missouri Southern. 

Playing Clean...
      Through 11 games, the Jennies have committed just 54 fouls, the lowest total among all MIAA schools (4.91 per game). 

Jennies Soccer (By the numbers)...
     When matched up against Missouri schools, UCM is 117-61-14 all-time. The Jennies are 47-26-4 when playing a Missouri school in Warrensburg.
     When matched up against Oklahoma schools, UCM is 10-3-3 all-time. The Jennies are 4-1-2 when playing an Oklahoma school in Warrensburg. They are 4-2-1 when playing an Oklahoma school in Oklahoma.
