KICKOFF
• The Central Missouri Mules close out the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 3 in Hays, Kan. against Fort Hays State. Kickoff at Lewis Field Stadium is set for 2 p.m. This is the third straight season the Mules will travel to Hays, Kan.

QUICK HITS
• The Mules look to snap a two-game skid and end the season on a high note when they travel to Hays, Kan. to take on Fort Hays State on Saturday at 2 p.m.
• Central Missouri is 5-4 overall and 5-4 in the MIAA following a 24-18 loss at to Nebraska-Kearney last Saturday on Senior Day at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field.
• It was the first time UCM has lost back-to-back games in the Jim Svoboda era and the first time since 2008.
• The Mules have not lost three straight games since 1998.
• The Mules streak of five straight winning seasons will be on the line on Saturday in Hays.
• This is the final game of the Mules' 10-game schedule in the new-look MIAA this season. UCM played five home games and five road games, this is the third straight year that the Mules have just five home games on their schedule in the regular season.
• The Mules were 8-4 a season ago and received a bid to play in the Kanza Bowl.

SERIES HISTORY
• This is the ninth meeting between Fort Hays State and Central Missouri and the seventh since the Tigers joined the MIAA.
• The Mules lead the all-time series 6-2 against FHSU and have won six straight against the Tigers. UCM has won all six meetings since Fort Hays State joined the conference.
• UCM won last year 35-7 in Hays and the Mules are 2-0 against the Tigers in the Jim Svoboda era.
• The Mules are averaging 34.2 points per game during the winning streak.
• UCM's average margin of victory during the streak is 21.7 points per game.

LAST TIME VS FORT HAYS STATE
• The Mules raced out to a 21-0 first quarter lead and cruised to a 35-7 win of front of an MIAA Television audience on Oct. 15, 2011 in Hays, Kan.
• The Mules racked up 613 yards of total offense compared to 236 for the Tigers.
• UCM rushed 38 times for 206 yards and Tommy Corwin was 29-of-45 for 398 yards and four touchdowns.
• The Mule defense held FHSU to just 11-of-25 passing for 79 yards and 157 rushing yards on 35 carries. The Tigers didnt' record a first down until the third quarter.
• FHSU was 1-of-13 of third downs and punted 10 times in the game.
Evan Knight led the UCM defense with nine tackles and a sack. Calvin Patterson had five tackles and Sosaia Taufa had two quarterback sacks.
• The seven points allowed by the Mules was the lowest point total allowed under Jim Svoboda and was the lowest point total allowed in an MIAA road game since allowing seven points in a 35-7 win at Emporia State in 2007.

ABOUT FORT HAYS STATE
• The Tigers come in at 4-5 overall and 3-5 in MIAA play after a 41-27 win at South Dakota Mines on Saturday. FHSU is riding a three-game winning streak and have won four of five overall.
• Fort Hays State is averaging 23.4 points per game and giving up 31.7.
• The Tigers have been outscored 172-100 in the first half this season.
• The Tigers are 1-3 at home this season with the lone win coming in a 28-26 contest against Lincoln. FHSU has lost to No. 15 Washburn, No. 7 Missouri Western and a three-point loss to Lindenwood.
• Fort Hays State is averaging 175 yards per game rushing and 160.7 yards per game through the air.
• Addie Brown leads the team with 60.3 yards per game rushing, but has not played since a 37-34 win over Southwest Baptist on Oct. 13.
• Quarterback Tarean Austin is averaging 38.8 yards per game rushing and 143.8 yards per game passing.
• Cornelius Gallon leads the receiving corps with 27 catches for 406 yards and five touchdowns. Four FHSU players have caught touchdown passes.
• Defensively, Layton Hickel leads the team with 79 tackles. Austin Hubert has 69 tackles on the season, including 5.5 tackles for loss and two sacks.
• The Tiger defense has 43 tackles for loss, 14 sacks and eight interceptions in 2012. They rank first in the MIAA in redzone defense, allowing opponents to score just 68 percent of the time.

LAST TIME OUT
• For the second straight week the Mules were unable to hold a halftime lead and fell 24-18 to Nebraska-Kearney on Senior Day. UCM led 10-5 at halftime, but was outscored 19-8 in the second half.
• The Lopers racke up 332 yards rushing against the Mules and controlled the ball for 36:15.
Colter Smith was 32-of-50 for a career-high 341 yards and two touchdowns and an interception.
• The Mules were held to negative 31 yards rushing, with Smith losing 40 yards on sacks.
Ronrei Lloyd recorded his second straight 100-yard receiving game and fourth in the last five games with seven grabs for 104 yards.
David Cannon had nine catches for 78 yards and a touchdown. He moved into fifth place on UCM's career receptions list with 126.
Ricky Spratley led the Mules with a career-high 12 tackles.
Joe Carter had 10 tackles including three tackles for loss, while Patrick Lewis had eight tackles and a quarterback sack.
• The Mule defense registered eight tackles for loss and three sacks, but the Loper D had 10 tackles for loss and five sacks to go along with an interception.

MULES IN MIAA PLAY
• The Mules are 19-8 in MIAA play under Jim Svoboda and 5-4 this season after a 24-18 loss to Nebraska-Kearney last Saturday.
• The Mules' 14 combined conference wins in 2010 and 2011 are the most by a UCM head coach in their first two seasons.
• UCM was 6-3 in MIAA play last season.

THE MULES AT HOME
• Central Missouri is 12-4 at home under Jim Svoboda, including 4-1 this year after a 24-18 loss to Nebraska-Kearney on Senior Day last Saturday.
• The Mules are 217-178-13 in their 82nd season playing home games at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field.

THE MULES ON THE ROAD
• The Mules are 12-6 in road games under Jim Svoboda and 1-3 this year after a 24-23 loss at Northeastern State on October 20.
• UCM was 5-1 on the road last season.
• The Mules are averaging 26.2 points per game on the road, while giving up 30 points per outing.

THE MULES VS. RANKED OPPONENTS
• The Mules are 5-6 against ranked opponents during the Jim Svoboda era and 1-2 this season after their 30-21 loss at then-No. 1 Pittsburg State on October 6.
• The Mules were 1-2 against ranked opponents last season.
• UCM's last win over a top 5-ranked opponent was a 31-21 win over No. 3 Northwest Missouri on Sept. 8.
• The Mules have never beaten a team ranked No. 1 in the country.

MULES FOLLOWING A LOSS
• The Mules are 7-1 under Jim Svoboda following a loss and 2-1 this season after losing 24-18 to Nebraska-Kearney.
• The loss to UNK gave the Mules back-to-back losses for the first time in the Jim Svoboda era and the first time since 2008.

MULES IN SEASON FINALES
• The Mules are 1-1 under Jim Svoboda in regular season finales. UCM beat No. 6 Washburn 39-21 in Topeka to close out the regular season in 2011 and fell 17-16 to Northwest Missouri in 2010.
• UCM is 7-3 in the last 10 regular season finales, including 2-0 against Fort Hays State and 1-0 in Hays, Kan.
• The Mules are averaging 27.5 points per game in the two regular season finales under Jim Svoboda.

LEADING AT THE HALF
• Central Missouri lost for the second straight week when leading after the first quarter and when leading at halftime. The Mules are now 13-2 when leading at the end of the first quarter and 21-2 in the Jim Svoboda era when leading at halftime.
• On the flip side, the Mules are just 2-9 under Svoboda when trailing at halftime.

• UCM is 24-4 under Jim Svoboda when scoring at least 21 points.
• Central Missouri is 5-3 this season when scoring 21 or more points.

MOVING UP THE CAREER TOP 10 CHARTS
• Senior safety Patrick Lewis is in 10th place on Central Missouri's all-time tackles. Lewis now has 253 career tackles (122 solo, 131 assists) to rank 10th on the list. He is seven tackles shy of ninth place and nine tackles away from the eighth with one game remaining in his career.
• Senior tight end David Cannon moved into fifth place on the career receptions list with 126 after his nine-catch performance against Nebraska-Kearney.

A UCM WIN WOULD...
• Give the Mules a 6-4 overall and MIAA record.
• Extend UCM's winning streak to seven games over Fort Hays State.
• Snap the Mules' two-game losing streak.

MULES IN THE SUNFLOWER STATE
• The Mules are 5-0 when playing schools from Kansas in the Sunflower State under Jim Svoboda. UCM is 5-1 overall in the state of Kansas with the lone loss coming to West Texas A&M in last year's Kanza Bowl in Topeka, Kan.
• UCM was 3-0 in Kansas against MIAA opponents last year, including a 35-7 win at Fort Hays State in week seven.

MULES FOOTBALL HISTORY
• In the 117th season of UCM Football the Mules have compiled a 519-494-51 (.512) record in 1,064 total games.
• The Mules have won 10 or more games three times in the history of the program and have posted 11 seasons of eight or more wins.
• UCM won a school-record 11 games in Jim Svoboda's first season.
• UCM has won or shared eight MIAA championships in school history with the last coming in 2003.
• The Mules have qualified for the postseason seven times in their history, including two trips to the NCAA-II Playoffs, the last coming 2010.

SVOBODA LEADING THE WAY
• Central Missouri head coach Jim Svoboda has a career record of 24-11 (.686) in his third season leading the Mules.
• Svoboda's .686 winning percentage is the fourth highest for a UCM coach.
• UCM has posted the second most wins in a two-year span in school history under Svoboda.
• The Mules have appeared in the postseason in each of Svoboda's first two seasons. UCM made the NCAA-II Playoffs in year one under Svoboda and earned a bid to the Kanza Bowl in his second season. It is just the second time in school history that Mules Football has made back-to-back postseason appearances.
• UCM hosted the first ever playoff game in school history and won the school's first two playoff games in Svoboda's first season in 2010.
• The Mules have set or tied 63 school offensive records in Svoboda's first two seasons and 20 conference offensive records.
• The Mules became the first team in NCAA-II history to have a 5,000-yard passer (Eric Czerniewski) and a 1,000-yard rusher (Anthony Stewart) in the same season when they accomplished that feat in 2010.

MULES IN THE PROS
• There is one former Mule currently on an NFL roster. Tight end Delanie Walker is in his seventh season in the league with the San Francisco 49ers. Last week, Walker caught the second game-winning touchdown of his career when he hauled in a 12-yard touchdown from Alex Smith in the 49ers 13-6 win over Seattle. For his career, Walker has 107 catches for 1,172 yards and six touchdowns.
• Former Central Missouri All-American running back Anthony Stewart is continuing his football career north of the border. Stewart is currently a member of the BC Lions practice sqaud in the Canadian Football League.

JAMIESON NAMED TO WATCH LIST
• Senior placekicker Aaron Jamieson has been named to the Fred Mitchell Outstanding Placekicker Award watchlist for the second straight season. Jamieson was a semifinalist for the award last season. The award is given annually to the nation's top collegiate placekicker among FCS, DII, DIII, NAIA and NJCAA.

A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE IN THE ATHLETIC ARENA
• Central Missouri has won a combined 190 MIAA regular-season conference championships in 14 league sports to lead all schools.
• Last season, UCM captured seven MIAA regular season and three tournament championships.
• Since 1983, the tenure of Athletic Director Jerry Hughes, UCM has won or shared 136 MIAA championships, more than any other league school.
• Central Missouri has won five national championships since 1980 (men's and women's basketball in 1984, baseball in 1994 and 2003, and women's bowling in 2003) and seven national championships overall.

A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE IN THE CLASSROOM
• The 500+ Central Missouri student-athletes received 245 Academic Awards from the MIAA office for the 2011-12 academic year.
• 195 UCM student-athletes were named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• 32 UCM student-athletes were named MIAA Scholar Athletes with at least a 3.5 GPA and having earned all-MIAA honors in their respective sport.
• 18 UCM student-athletes were named MIAA Academic Excellence Award winners with a 4.0 GPA.
• UCM had 10 student-athletes earn Academic All-America honors, including Shawn Boss being named the CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year for Track & Field.

The broadcast team of Shawn Jones (play-by-play), Bill Turnage (color commentary) and Greg Hassler (sideline) will have all the UCM action. The Mules Tailgate show begins 80 minutes prior to kickoff.
• The Jim Svoboda Mules Football Radio Show, presented by Bob Showers of Ameritas Investment Corp. airs on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. on 98.5 The Bar and 1450 KOKO as well as online at warrensburgradio.com. The final show will air Tuesday, Oct. 30.
