Mules finish second, Jennies third at season-opening SBU Twilight
(BOLIVAR, Mo.) – The 2011 men's and women's cross country season opened with a second place finish for the Mules and a third place finish for the Jennies on Friday night at the SBU Twilight Meet.
            The top placer for the Mules was freshman Adam Tredway, who placed eighth with a 5K time of 16:30. Sophomore Cameron Bogue  came in 10th with a time of 16:39. Five Mules placed in the top 20.
            The top placer for UCM on the women's side was freshman Alissa Keil in 20:38. Freshman Marissa Moberly was 13th in 20:46, sophomore Courtney Klaty was 14th in 20:49 and freshman Comelani Wilson was 15th one second back at 20:50. The Jennies had eight runners place in the top 20.
            Southwest Baptist took home the top spot on the men's side with 37 points, while the Mules were second with 63. SBU also took the top spot on the women's side with 21 points, William Jewell was second with 65 points and the Jens were third with 69.
            Both the Mules and Jennies will be in action next Friday, September 9 at the UCM Mule Run. The race at Keth Memorial Golf Course is set to start at 5:30 p.m.
