(MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.) – The 12th-ranked Central Missouri Mules cross country team captured their second straight team victory, this time at the Roy Griak Inviational, hosted by the University of Minnesota. The Mules beat out the 27-team field with 90 points, followed by No. 6 Augustana (S.D.) with 110. Junior
Laban Sialo led the Mules with a 3rd-place finish overall, and a time of 25:08 over the 8k course at the Lee Bolstad Golf Course. Senior
Dalton Moberly finished just one second behind and came in fourth overall.
The cross country Jennies saw a 14th-place team finish out of the 22 squads at the Invitational, and were led by
Kacy Hession, whose 23:20 time on the 6k course netted her 23rd place.
The Mules and Jennies are both back in action in two weeks, at the Central Methodist Inviational on October 8th. The meet in Fayette, Mo. will be the last tune-up of the season before the MIAA Championships on October 22nd.
