(BOLIVAR, Mo.) – The number two ranked Central Missouri Jennies soccer team won 3-1 at Southwest Baptist today. It is the Jennies 18
th consecutive win, dating back to last season.
Central Missouri (11-0, 9-0 MIAA) has scored in 21 straight matches, two shy of a conference record, and won its seventh straight road contest of the season, one win short of breaking a program record.
The Jennies didn't waste any time, putting their third shot of the game into the net to get onto the board. Sophomore forward
Kayla Shain scored her fifth goal of the season in the 18
th minute with an assist by junior forward
Cara Hennahane, her second.
Southwest Baptist tied it up six minutes later on a Shonee Samia unassisted goal.
Late in the first half, UCM went back up on a goal by freshman defender
Carly Stanley. It was a team high-tying fifth goal of the season for her. Sophomore forward
Aaryn Burke recorded her third assist of the year on the play.
In the 70
th minute of action Central Missouri scored a security goal by junior forward
Sharaya Sidebottom, her fourth of the season.

Brooke Cooley recorded her ninth win of the year, facing three shots and allowing one goal.
Going into halftime, shots were 8-7 Central Missouri. The Jennies put the pressure on in the second half, outshooting SBU 28-7 in the game. Stanley led UCM with five shots, four on goal.
The Jennies will return to action on Saturday, October 16 when they host Northwest Missouri (2-7-3, 2-6-2 MIAA). Opening whistle is slated for 7 p.m. from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex.
