As a junior Brier wrestled at 197 and 184 pounds. He finished the season with a 20-19 overall record, with 11 falls, 34 takedowns and one win by major decision. He was named to the NCAA Division-II honorable mention All-Academic Team for the second time in his career. He led the team in pins (11), and was second in reversals (10). He was fourth in escapes (37), and had the third fastest fall on the team (:40)
As a sophomore Brier wrestled at 165 pounds and compiled a 13-18 overall record with six wins by fall, 28 takedowns, 30 escapes and seven reversals. Brier was named to the NCAA Division II honorable mention All-Aademic Team, and was named to the  CoSIDA Academic All-District team.
As a freshman Brier had a winning percentage of .333 and an overall record of 13-26 while wrestling at 165 pounds. He had two falls, one technical fall and one major decision as a freshman.
In high school Brier was a State medalist as a senior, and two-time state qualifier. He was a four-year letter winner, and voted the teams most valuable wrestler twice.
Brier is the son of Steve and Karri Brier. He is majoring in Safety Management.Â
