No. 17 Jennies Bowling Eliminated from GLVC Women's Bowling Championship

LOCKPORT, Ill. -- No. 17-ranked Central Missouri Jennies Bowling split two matches on day two of the GLVC Women's Bowling Championships Saturday, March 25, at Strike N Spare II, defeating No. 7 seed Quincy, 2-0, before falling to No. 2 seed Maryville in an elimination match, 2-1.

In the 2-0 win over Quincy, UCM won the traditional match, 941-898, and the five-game Baker match, 916-874.

Andrea Carolina Perez Perez led the Jennies in the first contest of the day, bowling a single-game total of 210.

The Jennies lost in the third leg of their hard fought, 2-1 setback against No. 2 seeded Maryville. Central Missouri won the first round traditional match, 1007-934, before dropping the five-game Baker match, 998-913. Both teams then went into a best-of-seven Baker tiebreaker match, where UCM came up short, 4-2.

The Jennies were led by Perez again in the second match, bowling a single-game total of 234.

The Jennies finish their season with a 72-48 NCAA record. This was the 50th year of existence for the bowling program at Central Missouri. In those 50 years, the Jennies have earned 27 consecutive post-season berths (48 of 50), including 13 NCAA Championship Finals appearances.
