Mules Golf sits in 12th place after day 2 at NCAA Championships

HERSHEY, Pa. -- The Central Missouri Mules golf team shot a nine-over par 298 on Tuesday afternoon at the East Course at Hershey Country Club to move up five spots to 12th place at the NCAA-II Championships. UCM heads into the final round of stroke play nine shots out of eighth place. The top eight teams following Wednesday's final round will qualify for the match play portion of the championships.

Travis Mays shot a two-over par 73 for the second straight day and is tied for 17th place at four-over par. Cy Moritz and Sam Migdal each shot 74 in round two and are tied for 50th place at 10-over par. Teddy Jones shot a 78 for the second straight day and is in a tie for 75th place. Robby Hughey shot a 77 during round two and is tied for 96th at 160.

Barry University continues to hold down the team lead at four-over par 572. They have a 10-shot lead over second place Nova Southeastern. Rob Damschen of CSU-Stanislaus is the individual leader at four-under par, 138, after firing a second round score of three-under, 68.
