HERSHEY, Pa. -- The Central Missouri Mules golf team sits in 17th place after firing a 307 on the first day of the NCAA-II Championships at the East Course at Hershey Country Club on Monday. The Mules will tee off in round two at 12 p.m. on Tuesday.

Travis Mays had the low round for UCM after shooting a two-over par 73. He is in a tie for 23rd place. Cy Moritz, Sam Migdal and Teddy Jones all shot seven-over par 78s in round one, while Robby Hughey shot a 12-over 83.

Barry University currently sits in the lead at even par, 284. Adam Svensson of Barry is the individual leader after shooting a three-under par 68 in round one.

The top eight teams at the completion of the three round tournament will move on to the match play portion of the championships.
