The all-time leader in rushing attempts (723), Thompson ranks second in rushing yards (3,625), rushing TD’s (57), total TD’s (58) and points scored (350), all behind Hall of Famer and teammate Kegan Coleman. He is third in all-purpose yards (4,177) for a career as well. He ranks fifth, sixth and tenth in the single season lists for scoring (108, 104, 90) and touchdowns (18, 17, 15). He also ranks second, fourth and sixth in rushing TD’s (18, 16, 15). Thompson earned all-region once, and All-MIAA three times (first-team in 2001) while playing with Coleman. He sat out the entire 2002 season due to injury, and came back to play for two more years.
