Walter Rhone
Mules Football, 1969-72

One of the greatest all-around threats in school history, Rhone played from 1969-72. He ranks ninth in career rushing yards and second in all-purpose yards, and holds the CMSU records for career punt return average and kickoff return average. He also shares the single-game CMSU record for interceptions with three, as he played both ways during his career. The MIAA Most Valuable Player in 1972 for a 3-7-1 team, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 1972 and later played in World Football League for Chicago.
